About Richard
Richard James Baines, or simply Rich, to those of us who had the honour of knowing him well. What can we tell you about him here? This space is just too small, for a heart that was so big.
His mission or a purpose as Rich called it was to support, empower and impact people’s lives for the better.
It’s almost impossible to encapsulate Rich’s character in just a few words. His life was painfully short, but the list of lives he touched and enriched seems endless.
A successful businessperson, a leader, a friend, a mentor, but above it all, a husband and father – if you knew him, you’d know that Rich’s family were the centre of his world.
Always working hard, always laughing loud and absolutely always there for anyone who needed help. That was Rich.

Richard James Baines may be gone, but we couldn’t be prouder of the fact that, thanks to the foundation that now bears his name, his generosity and kindness will continue to benefit many generations to come.
